Strengthening Nonprofit Cybersecurity: New Partnership with Senteon Endpoint Hardening

At Good Heart Tech, we believe that every mission-driven organization deserves strong technology to power its impact. As a 100% volunteer nonprofit, we provide free technology support and consulting to other nonprofits, helping them become more modern, efficient, and secure. That's why we're excited to share news about a significant step we're taking to bolster the cybersecurity of our nonprofit partners.

Recently, Microsoft announced the revocation of its donated Business Premium licenses for nonprofits, which creates significant challenges, particularly around cybersecurity. Our commitment to our partners remains unchanged: to strengthen your nonprofit's technology foundation and keep all our cybersecurity services completely free. In response to these changes, we've actively sought out new solutions and are thrilled to announce our partnership with Senteon, a trusted endpoint hardening platform.

What Does This Mean for Nonprofits? The Power of Endpoint Hardening

You might be wondering, "What exactly is endpoint hardening?" It's securing each device your team uses (laptops, desktops, and the rest) so they're harder to attack. Think of it like fortifying a building: close unnecessary entrances, reinforce weak spots, and keep systems running securely.

For our nonprofit partners, this means we'll be implementing processes that:

  • Improve Performance and Privacy: By disabling non-essential background processes (such as certain telemetry services), your computer can actually run faster. Plus, with fewer processes running silently, your privacy is also enhanced.
  • Boost Protection: This significantly enhances your defense against common threats, such as malware and ransomware, keeping your vital data and operations safe.
  • Reduce the "Attack Surface": We'll minimize the points where cyber threats can enter by turning off unnecessary services and tightening system configurations on your devices.

Our goal is to ensure our nonprofit partners' technology is not only secure, but also runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing them to focus on mission.

Our Commitment to Our Nonprofit Partners

Over the coming weeks, our team will initiate the testing and deployment process for Senteon on all the PCs and servers we manage for our nonprofit partners. This partnership with Senteon is just one example of how Good Heart Tech leverages our network within the IT provider (MSP) community and relies on generous software donations to deliver high value to our nonprofit partners. We're proud to stand beside our nonprofit partners in their missions and are committed to keeping their technology secure, private, and running smoothly.
