Welcome to Good Heart Tech. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our websites (including goodhearttech.org, goodheart.tech, learn.goodhearttech.org, support.goodhearttech.org, and nonprofittools.org), our IT services, and any related platforms. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. About Good Heart Tech

Good Heart Tech ("we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2019 and based in Boise, Idaho. We provide free and low-cost IT services to other qualifying nonprofits to help them modernize technology, secure systems, and focus on their missions. Our services are delivered primarily by volunteers.

2. Use of Our Website

Our website is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate contact, donations, and service requests. You agree to:

  • Use the site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Not use the site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it or interfere with others' use

  • Your responsibility: You remain responsible for your own data, backups, and compliance with applicable laws. We recommend maintaining your own backups and reviewing our recommendations with qualified professionals where appropriate.

4. Donations

Donations made through our website (including via GiveButter, Venmo, or other platforms we use) are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Good Heart Tech is a 501(c)(3) organization; consult your tax advisor for guidance. Donations are typically non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us promptly.

5. Intellectual Property

Content on our websites (text, graphics, logos, images, and software) is owned by Good Heart Tech or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission. You may view and print content for personal, non-commercial use.

When you submit information through our contact forms, support portal, or other channels, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use that information to provide services, respond to inquiries, and improve our programs. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR SITE OR SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GOOD HEART TECH, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR WEBSITE OR SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
